How to rid Maiden's Hair??? I have this stuffs growing everywhere in my bowfront!!!! I look online and people sells these stuff, but I want'em GONE! Does anyone knows about a red algae plant that looks like seaweed and a red color grape looking algae that grows on live rock??? They look really kewl!!!

I may be able to get you a sprig of some red algae. It isn't as healthy as it was before i uograded the 5.5 to a 10, but it is still hanging in there. It kinda grows straight up and forms some branches, with a tough (tight water filled) but fragile body, if that makes any sense. I can also probably find a small sprig of red leaf algae-Halymenia.

I have the Halymenia, I was wondering what it is, now I know....Now if I can only find pictures of the other red algae I have growing....These rocks of yours have TONS of interesting life on them.....Learning new stuffs all the time, they're constantly popping up a new type of algae on me. I don't mind any of the algae except the mainden's hair, it's getting a bit out of control....:smokin:

Doh. I read that as you were looking for red algaes... Sorry about that.

Yeah, I remember at least four different types of macros on that rock. I had some along time ago that I've never seen since. Always found certain macros cool. Razor caulerpa is a scurge.
