How to rig airline hose to a 9010 skimmer?

Hi, I'm using a Tunze 9010 skimmer and my tank is suffering from low pH. I'd like to run an airline hose from the skimmer out a window so that it's skimming using low-CO2 air (not air from the interior of the building). Is it possible to do so? Is it as simple as connecting a hose to the air intake screw port? I notice there's another open port similar to the intake screw, should I cover that? Thanks for your help.

In normal operation the air comes in through the ports, travels under the cup and to an air intake opening on the back of the screw, this is part a sound dampening system so it is not so easy to connect a air hose. The small air line nipple is generally used for adding ozone but it must be pumped into the chamber below the cup. The simple solution would be to use a small air pump to pump fresh air into the skimmer the same way. The other option would be to thread an acrylic tube with 8mm thread so it will screw into the air adjustment screw port and then attack a large airline with a valve and run that out the window, you would have to cover the air intake hole on the other side from the screw (under the cup) with a piece of tape.
