how to set up a new aq3

i have a new aq3 and i would like to program it from the comp. am i able to plug it in to my network and access it from there if so how do i go about this ?. [ by the way my comp. skills are limited so detail is good ] lol. / i do also plan to have this setup for email notification and internet acces for all controls. [ does any one use there PDA for there email and acces to their controls ?

First you need to get the settings for your local network ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ you can do this by bringing up a command shell on your PC (type cmd in the start->run window of your PC). In the cmd shell type ââ"šÂ¬Ã‹Å“ipconfig /allââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ This will display your IP address, netmask, default gateway, and dns server.

Youââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll need to enter the netmask, default gateway, and dns server into the AquaControllerââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s network setup menus. The setup->net setup menu is on the AquaController 3. The IP address should be unique and different then your PCs ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ most likely youââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll only change the last 3 digits of the address. Youââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll access the controller through your internet browser by typing in the IP address of the controller in the address field of your browser. The default user name and password for the AC3 are admin and 1234 respectively.
