How to start running bio-pellets

I have 240 reef with 65 gallon sump. I have relatively large bio-load. I was thinking of running the Nextreef SMR1 XL reactor with Warner Marine Ecobak pellets. I can not really find what pump I should run. Any ideas? I read where they recommend 400-500 gph pump. Seems high??? Does anyone have any input on how much in bio pellets I should add starting off? How do I tell when to add more? I am very nervous about this b/c I have a small fortune in this tank and my wife would literally kill me if anything happened to anything in this tank. Any input would be appreciated. No I am not a member of the club yet and I intend to just have so much going I forget and the fish store and internet coral dealers get all my money. I was a member a few years when the club first got going.

100-150 ml per 25 gallons of tank volume. Pellets will dissolve, but add some new pellets every 3 months or so to keep up efficiency.

I have the NextReef SMR1 and run Warner Marine pellets. They recommended the Mag Drive 3 for the reactor. Works perfectly in mine. Not sure if you need more since its the XL version, but thats what they suggested for mine.
