How to store live Rock

I need to remove 20 pounds of live rock from the QT tanK. Can I just keep it in a bucket with salt water? Is there anything else that is needed?

Unfortunately, I have developed ICK in the Display tank and need to move my fish to the QT tank to treak with copper.

What brand of Copper do you recomend?

How long should the fish be treated with copper?

How long must the display tank be without fish to ensure that the ICK has died off in the display tank.

You will need to supply a pump to circulate the water for the rock.

Dont know on the copper. ITS NASTY STUFF and could easily kill the fish.

Ich has a 28 day cycle. I would leave the fish out for at least 35-40 days.

Sorry man. I feel your pain, I have a 1000 Gal tank with Ich and I cant remove my fish (impossible to get to them) too much real estate to run too.

I'd stay away from the copper unless it's a last resort. Try some DIY foods with a little garlic oil then freeze. I've done this a few times and it can help "push" the ick out.

But a powerhead and small heater should be fine. Good luck and wish you fishies all the best!!!
