How to switch food

I've got two clowns, diamond goby, and cleaner shrimp. The clowns and cleaner shrimp will eat anything I put in the tank. The goby only eats frozen mysis. What's a good technique to get him to start eating pellets to make it easier when I'm out of town?

You could try dropping some pellets near his burrow and let them sit to see if he goes after them. What pellets are you using? You might even try a different type/size to see if he likes those better.

I feed new life spectrum pellets. Usually the clowns pick the pellets from the sand! Even with mysis floating by.

I would just mix the pellets in with whatever else your feeding and cross your fingers. Hopefully the fish will come around and accept the new food. You might want to soak the pellets in a cup of water for about 5 minutes beforehand though. This will soften them up a little and make it easier for the fish to eat.

Yeah, the NLS marine are pretty good pellets. Although, it can be a crap shoot as far as which fish will eat them. I have a banded sleeper goby in my smaller tank that will gobble small piles of them all at once. In my other tank, a few of my fish and cleanup crew go for them readily, but the other fish don't really care for them.
