how to switch lfs sys back onto copper

I dont have much time so essentially im asking what should I do to get a system of 6x 65 gallon fish only tanks back on copper. they all share a sump that has lr in it and in the tanks there is also some lr. can i simply take out the lr in the tanks and add some base rock to the sump and copper away? Im worried that its been off copper for so long it will greatly upset the cycle and turn into a disaster.

Are the fish in those tanks sick? Or is this being done as a preventative? Does the system have a UV sterilizer on it?
