How to tell if Crocea is eating?

The clam is 3 inches so will it get enough food from light alone? I'am also feeding Reef Chili 2-3x/week. Would DT's phyto be better?

Mbbuna asked this question before in aanother thread, and I would love to hear the answer. How exactly do you clams "love it"? What are you seeing? I am just curious.

Wasup,
one of my clams stretches its mantel when I feed phyto.

Peace

What does this have to do with feeding? The clams mantle catches light, and the "food" is captured by the gills.

On second thought, if your clam in extending its mantle, thats good. Whether its from the feeding or alignment of the planets or whetever.

I have one for about 2 weeks but when I asked a friend how could tell they are eating he told me that they close and open just a little bit consciously.
Today I steered my sand and I saw that. Mine did that 3-4 times and repeated it after few minutes also it didn’t retract the mantle much and the round opening had a more narrow shape.
I will take that reaction for feeding …for now.

My English sucks sorry
