How to tell if Sea Cucumber is dead?

I have two tiger tail cucumbers in my 75 gallon and seem to not have moved since I put them in tank. How to tell if they are dead?

We put three in our 300 gallon and one did not make it
The two survivors crawled under rock work within a matter of about half an hour. The fatality began to float a bit in the current and eventually show signs of deterioration.

I should add that if you think it's dead (or dying) it's important to remove it quickly. They can really cause problems when dead.

i think 2 in a 75 is a little over kill, i would remove one, not sure if there wil be enough food for 2 to live. i have one in my 57 for 15 months now and he keeps the sand clean. it doesn't move much during the day and once i did have to move the rock to see if its alive myself because he didn't move for a week other times i see him moving around the whole tank

If it a a Caribbean cuke.....they are not toxic...but indo species are....Caribbean ones like tiger tails....may inflate...deflate...spit their guts...slime off their skin and be ok and recover....is usually shipping stress......is part of what they do...however if they develop a little white spot on them...and it grows...looks like white snot...he is toast.....he will eventually melt all away.......but don't let it go that far...
