How was your Thanksgiving?

Hey everyone!! How was your Thanksgiving?

Personally, I had a bunch of fun. My mom just bought a new place about 30minutes southeast of Palm Springs and I went to visit her. My uncle just got remarried, so we had a reunion and a union(new people from the other side of the family) of sorts. All three of my uncles, all of my cousins from those three uncles(6 in total), my mom, myself, my mom's boyfriend, his son, my grandmother, my new aunt and her whole family too. We had to have about 40 people there. I've never been involved in such a huge Thanksgiving. It was quite a spectacle.

Afterwards I got to go back to LA area to get my plane. Beforehand, I went around to all the LFS's near the beach and found one in particular that was really nice. I bought a couple corals with the worry about bringing them on the plane...more than 3oz of liquid in the bags. I was prepared to be shut down and have to go wrap the in the bathroom to do a moist paper towel method; they did not make me do so. They just swiped them with a swab to make sure they weren't chemicals or bomb fluid or whatever they are checking for. After it cleared they let me on through. Thanks LAX security for being understanding. All-in-all, it was long flights, but the whole process went very smoothly. Nice quiet non-stop flights, little traffic on the roads, little traffic in the airports, absolutely beautiful weather, off of work since Monday(although that will hurt for the next month). What a great holiday it turned out to be.

So how'd you guys fare?

By the way, as for corals, I ended up getting a nice little mixed zoo colony, a few five dollor frags of some nice pink/orange zoos and blue zoos, and a beautiful blasto colony, including red with orange trim, some really nice purple and greens, and some of the PPE blastos. Has to be at least 15 polyps and multi-colored for something like $50 after they gave me $10 off because they had a coupon for me to use. This was really cool...huge store and huge selection. If anyone's going out to the LA beaches(manhattan, Redando, Hermosa) or around that area, I know of a few stores in the area and can tell you which ones are worth your while.

Sounds like you had a great time. Must be nice to go to LA. I have always wanted to go there and see what its like. Um as far as for me and Turkey day, it was a good. Always nice to see family and sit around and watch the Dolphins come alive and win a football game. lol It was a good time, lots of food and lots of leftovers. Then we waited in the line at Best Buy to buy computers. Yes we were in line all afternoon and night to save a few 100 bucks. We had fun though and I got a new lap top. lol Anyways thats how I spent my Turnkey day.

Yeah, good job by them Fins. I had the worst Sunday...I nicknamed it Black Sunday. The Jags and Bears lost. I live 7 years and Jax and was there when the franchise was created. I grew up in Chicago for 10 years so I'm always partial to our teams up there.

Im the sameway with the Miami. I was born in North Miami. My whole family from my dads side were big fans of the Dolphins. I guess it just kinda grows on you. It was good getting to see them on Turkey day though.

Yea but you get to see the other 13 games. I get to see like 5 or 6 of my teams games. Thats sucks. Its either Jags or Tampa. Or both teams.

Where in Chicago Craig? I was born there but lived most of my life here. However, have family up there still. Where are the pics of your new finds???

I actually just moved here from chicago about a year and a half ago...Orland Park...Southwest corner...bout 30 min outa downtown! I miss the snow!!! but love the warmth!!!
perfect climate would be 80 degrees with 2 feet of snow on the ground!

Highland Park/Deerfield, right on the border of these suburbs. I could've gone to either high school had I stayed where I lived.

cschweitzer im going to get to see my Fins play in TV this Sunday. Can you guess why? lol lol There playin Jacksonville. Go figure. lol lol lol
