How Waterproof/Safe is Krylon?

Ok I am curious how waterproof and safe krylon is, for use in the tank?

I have a 3d printer and want to print some brackets for Temp/PH Probes, ATO line, and Float switches. My problem is all I have on hand for plastic is PLA which can break down with extended time in salt water.

So my question is, should I print them in PLA and then put 2-3 coats of krylon on them? Or should I just buy a roll of ABS and not worry about painting?

its very safe to use but absolutely not dependable as a sealant of any kind. You can use all you want but you can't count on it to last as a coating over anything. Fish, snails, urchins, etc... will munch at it and it might not last long. Just use a plastic that needs no coating.
