How would you add more flow in this sps tank?

I have a 68 gallon BB tank that is mainly sps. I noticed today one of my encrusting montis has a very small dead spot on it. After inspecting it for pest I noticed alot of detritus on it. I started looking around the tank and noticed quite a bit of detritus. I am using 2 tunze 6100's in the tank for flow and the return pump is a panworld 50px with an estimated return of 400 gph. I thought my tunze would be enough, but apparently I am wrong. How else would you go about adding flow? I am considering the maxijet mods and redoing the rockwork to see can I open it up a bit. I have a couple of big pieces that may be hindering the flow in the tank. I run a filter bag, so if I can get the detritus to the sump, I can catch it. Looking for help before I try and tear down the rockwork and have any more corals with dead spots.

i don't think it's more flow you need as much as better directed flow. think about putting a waveysea on the return, so that the rocks get a moving direct blast across them.

Two 6100's should provide plenty of flow for your 68g tank. I agree with manderx that you should work on redirecting the flow.

Thanks for the help. I am going to redirect my flow. I am also going to rearrange my rocks to get better flow around and through them. I think I might go for the Japanese style look with lots of open areas and less rock.

You'll never get the flow perfect so most of us blow off the rocks 2-3 times a week with a turkey baster... get's the crap out of the nooks and cranny's as well as any deposits on your corals. HTH :)

Do u have the tunze pointed at one another? U might also want to try mounting them so that they are facing the front glass.

I have readjusted the tunze. I also rearranged the rock work. I went for a japanese style reef look. It is not yet completed as I took out 2 rocks that are about 30 pounds total. I am going to trade those with the LFS for smaller rock. Right now my rock work is small. I think I am liking it. The flow in the tank is much better. But I didn't realize I had so many frags. Will probably get rid of some once they grow out.

tomndeb,
I have a few frags. No alot, but just a few makes my tank look full. They are small and I would not like to sell them until they grow out some more.
