How would you frag this?

Hey, im new to fragging corals. Actually ive only ever fragged zoas which are pretty easy. I have this alien eye chalice and was wondering how (or if) I should frag it. It is fully encrusted onto a frag plug as you can see in the pic.

Thanks for any suggestions, Kelsey

I don't know why everyone tries to make this more complacated than it is. You can frag a challice with bone cutters just like anything else. I do it all the time with no death at the edge like you get with a saw.

Hammer & screw driver( flat head)

diamond blade on a dremel

Band saw tile saw

Bone cutter

Where to cut depends on what your plans are do you want alot of frags
just one will be glad to help you more specific

oh yea btw nice chalise

it looks a bit small to me but I like large colonies...you could just put it in a circle of frag tiles, let it grow over them, then break the coral along the tile lines.

Make sure the piece you frag has an eye. Only advice I can offer. I usually just "break off a chunk"

Do you know the name of that chalice by chance? Only reason I ask is I have one just like it and donno what it's called. Mine is a little darker purple, but that's more than likely lighting

Bone cutters all the way. I sharpen mine once a month and they can cut through chalices like butter. You only need to get a chunk with a few eyes for the new frag to heal rather quickly.

i would set the whole thing on a larger frag plug and as it grew onto the new plug frag it with a razor blade
the reason why is that is gonna look sorry with what you will have left after you frag
