I've always had a small tank, so not sure how I would rate this biolad. Tank is about 105 gallons with a 40BR sump. Skimmer is SRP XP 2000 (overrated for this tank size) and I have a fuge that is growing chaeto pretty well. Skimmer is pulling some good stuff, but not very thick, just really really dark watery skimmate.
I feed 1-2 times a day during the week, and more on the weekends. Tank is only a few months old. Nitrates are nearly if not undetectable, and phosphate is around 0.04. I've got some brown slime algae but it has subsided significantly in the last 2 weeks. Tank is only a few months old.
I am NOT concerned with the algae, as it is part of the new tank syndrome. I have a couple of corals that are looking rather starved, so I was curious how you would rate my bioload.
1. Med-Lrg Powder blue tang. Eats like a pig.
2. 2 clowns (average size)
3. Med-Sm Yellow tang (new to tank)
4. 2 blue green chromis (large)
5. Royal gramma (large)
6. Pair of Fire/Blood shrimp
I do plan on adding quite a few more small fish. How would you rate this biolad as it stands now? I thought mediumish, but water seems very clean. Thanks!
PS: As far as what is going to be added from this point on is: Pair of swiss guard basslets, possum wrasse, maybe a few anthias, and a small goby or blenny and maybe a dwarf angel. The rest of the fish I plan on stocking are small. This will an SPS dominated system. I had 9 smallish fish in my 30 gallon and I considered that a pretty heavy biolad (albeit they were small fish) but curious about this larger tank.
Here is a pic from a few weeks ago (YT not in there at the time).....Corraline is startint to take off so rocks are bit more purple today than in that pic.
