I keep my ALK at 9.5, but I think your PH needs to come up to 8.4. Whats your magnesium level?

My tank pH has never been even close to 8.4

Mag was around 1450-1500 when I had it check a week ago. I dont have a mag test kit but my reef salt and 2 part keeps it stable. My Ph is always at 8.0 doesnt swing at all. So that is good but I am dosing Balance to bring Ph to 8.2. My tank has a slight carbonate to bicarbonate imbalance keeping the Ph at 8.0. Could alk at 7 cause some browning sps?

Your parameters are fine, don't add chemicals other than kalk to adjust PH, it isn't needed and can cause issues. A PH of 8 is perfectly fine.

I was getting alk burn when I added kalk. I used to dose it with a top off drip but I cant do that now. The 2 part works great.

I don't think your Po4 0 ! try to use po4 low range meter .

^I have several times at local reef store. They have a digital phos meter, cant remember what its called. I also have a phos reactor with carbon and gfo replaced monthly.
