So i posted this in the lighting forum and only got 1 response in 24 hours, id figure i would try it here.
Ok, right now i have a 175w halide set up that im going to be upgrading to a 250w.
Ive already made my mind up on ballasts. Im going with icecaps. Now heres the part where i need an opinion. Im torn between HQI bulbs or mogul base. Ive heard that HQI doesnt have the selection and that it doesnt spread the light accross the whole tank vs the reflectors. I already have these reflectors with my 175w bulbs and i have no problems. So the work to set it up is already done too!!! can i use the same reflectors and base since they are only 175 bulbs and i want 250?
Please way in here and tell me your opinions on what you think i should get.
