Ah, I didn't scroll down. I thought I was looking at a blank page. That's not a shark. It's a guitarfish - more of a ray than a shark.

Also any site that gets the 'facts' wrong I NEVER trust. They say another name is the bull shark or bay shark - no it's not. They then go on to list facts about an actual bull shark.

Maximum Size: The Shovelnose Shark grow upto a maximum of 7 ft in length.

General size: This fish generally comes in 3 to 4 ft in length.

Habitat: The bull shark is found close to shore and can live for a while in fresh water, frequenting estuaries, rivers and lakes. It has been found up to 1,750 miles (2800 km) up the Mississippi River in the USA and 2,500 miles (4000 km) up the Amazon River in Peru. It has been found in Lake Nicaragua (Central America) and the Zambezi River

Also, if this is for your lagoon it won't work. Because it's probably been held with a mix of other fish in a tank or holding system, it can't be put back into a natural body of water to prevent the possible cross contamination or introduction of captive animal pathogens back to the wild population.

Another BIG indication they aren't worth buying from is the "Zebra shark" they claim to sell. They are selling the ready to die Indonesian bamboo shark. The pic is misleading. A true Steg will pull several thousand dollars, not $150.

None of the latin names match up right (note they are the same for several species). The more I look, the more I laugh at these guys.

Do a search on this site and you will find a link to a review site that I believe will answer your question. If you are serious about buying a shark, PM one of us and we could point you in the right direction.

BTW, Tropicorium had a shovelnose guitarfish for sale a couple of weeks ago. It was about 27 inches from what I remember. They are subtropical like temps in the 65-72 range.

Seen these in person. Quite nice

Thanks I will avoid them.I thought it was cool looking so I was going to get it.

I ended up getting 3 cool shysharks. I got a good deal on a bunch of sharks I bought. After a few weeks I realized the deal wasn't as good as I though. I traded 2 swell shark, 3 horns sharks and 2 dogfish for the 3 shysharks and a 300 gallon preformed pond,

I know I got a crappy deal but my parents started to get ****ed about having 2 pools and 4 55 gallon barrels in the basement. I had to cut back.

Please post video and pics of your sharks. I have only ever seen video of the pyjama in captivity. I'm excited to see them.

Buyer beware!!!

Buyer beware!!!

I just purchased a Lion fish from this so called company. When i received the fish it had died. This company is located in California and I live in NY. This poor fish was packaged in a normal box with a 1/4" foam insulation...that is it. The box was not label live fish handle with care. There was no heating pads to keep the fish at the correct temperature during transport, so when i received the fish the water in the bag was ice cold. No packaging peanuts to keep the bag from rolling around inside the box. I have bought fish online before from Liveaquaria..maybe this company should buy a fish from Liveaquria to see how to properly ship a live fish. So i called the company and they denied that the box the fish was shipped in was theirs and denied a refund. What a joke. I wonder how many other fish they have shipped died this way.

Update to my story.. I filed a report with the better business bureau in California and I was informed by the better business bureau that FreshMarine.com stated i was not a customer of theirs. I proceed to send my bank statement and a email chain of 20 emails that included a payment confirmation from them. Please past this on to anyone buying online
