Huchtii Anthias

Hi does anybody out there have any experiance with these anthias? I really like them but want to find out how aggressive they might be. Thanks

They are pretty mean and are a lot more solitary than your typical anthias. I had one a while ago. They are pretty hardy but didn't play nice when I tried to mix other anthias with it.

How do they do in general with other tank mates, such as tangs, fairy wrasses, etc?

I've never seen or heard of them being mean to anything outside of anthias. I could see them being a bit belligerent with fairy wrasses.

You can mix them with other anthias, but you'll need a large tank. It's not unheard of though as they congregate with lyretails in the wild.

Interesting... I wonder if you could do a Hutchie with a couple of female lyretails?
