Can anyone Id this worm? It looks to be a bristle worm, but i've never seen one with this coloration or size. Stretched out, Its well over a foot in length.
It seems to have a mouth similar to a snail, and defecated(sp?) a green stringy substance which leads me to believe its herbavorous... with my luck, Im wrong...Help? haha

I'll try to get a few more pictures up tonight... any thoughts?
O yeah, Just to point out, the green object to the right is the excrement. Its about 3/4 of an inch Long, and this picture is only of about half of the worm.

I have one in my tank that is 18+". It has not bothered anything and I have had it for two and a half years. I would leave it unless you notice it causing damage.

Bristleworm, might be a problem. A recent article in the Aquarium magazine cited the species that grow over 12" in length tend to be problematic for reef tanks....I'd flush him, probably one of many in your set-up.

A bristleworm, seen many this size in my line of work. Besides giving people the chills when they see it I have found them to cause no problems.
