Humidity?

So, has anyone ever ran into a humidity problem? There is obviously going to be a lot of evaporation over time with any tank, but is it enough to put enough moister in the air to say cause damage to furniture or paintings?

Or is it one of those things to basically keep your eye on. Grab a de-humidifier and call it a day?

Cheers!

A dehumidifier will expedite the evaporation out of your tank. Unless you have a Van Gogh hanging right above your tank I wouldn't worry too much about humidity. Household air-conditioning will keep it in check through the summer months, and winter air is so dry you'll appreciate any bump you get in humidity from your tanks.

i have my tank in my family room and found the tank was making the room humid, so i put my dehumidifier in the room, on a medium setting,, it kicks on for maybe 5 minutes or so and removes the humidity, seems to be working well. now i have water from that resivoir and from the rodi, and use it for the flowers!

I did have problems but a dehumidifier solved the problem. My central air just wasn't enough to keep up with my tanks.
