Hungry Acan Lord VS. fish

Okay I really don't know what happened but I turned my t-5 on for some morning light and I found a fish being devored by an acan lord

Poor guy.........Now what let the acan eat him or send it to the white bowl in the sky .

I think the acan will have no problems devoring it

Clownface wrasse I think ? I will know here in a bit when I feed as they all come right up to my hands. But based on size and color I think its him .


The types of wrasses I keep are weird as they don't sleep in the sand but in the odds lil spots and caves this is why I stick to these types of non flasher wrasses . They produce a cocoon type slime at night to help protect them while the sleep . I am still at a loss as to what happened .

ha ha I can see the shrimps tentacle above the acan . I guess its waiting for its share.

It's sucks I always hate it when I lose anything especialy a fish.

ya me too. only at least you know its not because of problems in the tank (like amonia or whatever). that would make me even more upset.

That sucks. Hope you figure it out. Maybe your fish had some lights out scuffles and the wrasse tried to rest.

At least it went in proper order from cheaper to more expensive, normally it's the cheap fish eating the expensive coral!

About 6 months ago I just happened to be looking into my tank at the moment that my 6-line wrasse brushed too close to my BTA and ZAP! One sting, and the fish fell right into the anemone, and about 20 seconds later he was gone forever....

It sucks to lose a fish, but at the same time it is kind of cool to watch nature being played out in your living room...

there is no evidence now between the lords and 3 shrimp its gone.
