Hungry fish, How much do you feed?

Allthough I would guess we all love our waterbound friends, I'm aware that they are a bit like horses in that they can and will eat to excess. My question is about how do you all gage how much and how often to feed? I know this is a bit of a loaded question because all fish have different requirements and Im not trying to be specific. I think it is fair to say that most, if not all off us have a variety of fish. That being said, how do you each decide when your feeding to little or to much? Lets leave nutrients out of this please, within reason at this point in the hobby anyone making thier fish going hungry in an effort to control nutrient levels in thier tank need not comment here.

enough so nothing is in the water after a few minutes. I feed 3 times a day. Carbon dose and feed away.

Pellets 3 times a day and if you ask Kego a lot of frozen everyday. About 3 to 6 cubes worth.

730am (daily) powder coral food into the return.
1230pm (3-5 times a week I'm home for lunch) 1-2 cubes frozen or a table spoon of dry pellets of mixed sizes.
6-8ish (daily) 1-2 cubes frozen or a small spoon full of a mix of fish eggs.
6-8ish (3x a week) 2x stacks of mixed seaweed on the opposite sides of the tank.
6-8ish (weekly) some sort of natural food. Live food from the shop, shrimp, fresh greens.
bedtime (monthly) fresh greens or home made sheets on a rock in a super high-flow area. In the morning I toss it out. Normally its all gone.

I run a skimmer that pulls a full cup of semi-thick gunk twice a week at a minimum. I run carbon in a reactor.

My tank is not a low nutrient tank in any manor. I have nuisance algae a bit, but I like that every part of the tank is packed with life so I'm good with it.

:D great thread.
following.
