Hungry Hungry Hermits.....

Hey all....

I have 5.5g set up with zoo's, mushrooms and some pipe organs. Tank inhabitants consist of 2 scarlet hermits, 2 blue hermits, 1 mexican turbo and a cleaner shrimp. I was away for the weekend and came home to find all 4 of my hermits eating away at one of my pipe organs. I took a turkey baster and blew them off but this morning they are back just a munching away. Is there anything I can feed these guys so dont continue this??

Are you sure they are eating the polyps and not something trapped in between the polyps? Hermits will eat just about anything, including flakes, mysid, pellets, etc., so they should be easy to please.

I have had a lot of hermits in my tanks. The only thing in my reef they ever go after is snails. I wouldnt worry to much about them.
