so i hate petco and the lfs. im in the middle of going through my algea cycles in my two week old tank and i have an anemone and a clown fish.

my first problem is my clownfish is sick. he has some sort of white stuff growing all over him and hes breathing heavy. is there some sort of medication i should give him or should i get rid of him before the other fish get it. btw i dont have a quarantine tank to put him in so its all or nothing

the other problem is the anemone. it decided it was going to get up and take a walk. i dont know if thats a problem or not but it happened

the tank curently has lr a yellow fin wrasse and a yellow tail damzel

please help me through this

Your tank is how old??Anemonies ushually do best in a well established tank...And yes they move where they want.Flow and light and if they feel there's a better feedind spot...Mine moves alot.As for the clown,Mine had a white spot on her and it wasn't getting better. But ushually a clown does tend to look like there gasping,But yours may be..Ide give her a fresh water dip,With a dose of coppermine.Mine cleared up in a few days...
Back to the dip...Water must be top off quality. No clorine RO/Di if you have it...Must be the same temp as the tank.I just take a large ziplock and float it in the tank to equalize the temp.Add your medication to the bag,And put your fish in for 4-5 min...No longer than 8 mins. ever in a freshwater dip...Make sure you don't over medicate the dip. When your done your dip take her out and rinse her in your tank water and discard this water and let heer back into the tank...She will look bad for aday tops..
I did this to my clown 2 weeks ago and she was fine in a few days, and last night she laid her first eggs in my tank

Your clown likely has brookynella (aka, clownfish disease).

A freshwater dip and a formalin dip will usually take care of the problem. You may have to do it more than once if it doesn't get better a couple days after the first dip.

Your anemone is going to have a difficult time in a tank going through algae cycles. Its moving because it doesn't like the conditions it is in.

i know now thats its too early for the anemone. i didn't have rc.com all i had was the lfs.

but any way it really looks like its gasping way more than usual and its having trouble swimming. and its not just a white spot its covered in thick white stuff

That's brookynella. Do an internet search or use the treatment I described before. If it is covered in the white, skin peeling off kind of stuff, it may not make it till morning.

I'd dose formalin in a qt tank for the clown. That's what worked for me. If he's that bad I hate to say it but he may be a goner.. Good luck though I hope he makes it for you. I'd return the anem for sure.
