I will have a BTA and maybe a couple hard corals in my tank. I will be dosing Seachem Reef Builder and Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium. Can someone please give me a list of exact supplies I need for dosing?
Hey, before I started with a Ca reactor, I used Seachem supplies. As stated above, take it easy on the reefbuilder, it'll cause your alk to skyrocket.
You need to test for Calcium, I maintain 425-450 and Alk. I keep mine at about 7 dkh. If either of these gets out of balance, you can have calcium precipitate in the aquarium (you dont want this).
You probably won't need to dose anything for a while. Water changes will be plenty to maintain levels until you have a few corals in your tank.
there are many ways to dose the simplist is to get a either liquid supplements or powder and mix w/ water. You really don't NEED any equipment to dose. The most important thing is to get test kits and test regularly until you find your consumption rate, then dose accordingly and test every once in a while.
I use Seachem also and the directions on the container explain everything
