Hydnophora vs Scoly

bobkill

reefer
hello all, i had my coral vs coral battle thruough the night. I got a epic peice of Hydnophora frag from blakers82 last week and set it up on a "sps " shelf and today when i wake it is lying half dead on my warpaint scoly. i had to frag it from looking like a epic cross to a one armed cross. the scoly looks like he took a big hit too, i could tell anything at first but now i can see the feeder polyps. are only coming out of 3/4 the corals center, not on the side were the hydnophora was...

any advice? i cut l;ight cycle back and made sure if it ever feel again it woul djust be sand, ( will glue in once i know it likes the spot) anddddd boooooo
lol
i know the hydnophora is mean but maybe the scoly will make it?

That sucks

adjusting the light cycle and giving them time to rest seems like a smart move, just like fragging the hydno...

If the scoly stabilizes, I wouldn't do anything further. If it looks worse, then you have a couple options. Moving it to less flow or bathe of revive.

Has it tried to eat since the mishap?

It's in the lowest flow part of my tank with weak to mod light- it has had about 3/4 it's feeders out so u spit feed it some brine shrimp- it's not inflating well when the light cycle occurs but not to worried about that- it looks better but still not happy with my self- I knew I should of glued that hy down-
O well tho - going to post so pics later tonight

KDC, thanks for the question- he is looking alot better now- not fully inflatted but promising
