That would work Saltwaterkid but you might get some substrate movement. I have 2 Hydor 3's placed like that in my 75 gallon and they create a lot of surface movement. The one on the left needs to be moved pointing more towards the middle of the tank because right now it's blowing a bit of substrate.

I have to give these pumps the thumbs up. They are really quiet and there is current/movement all over my tank with just two powerheads.

I have 2 4s in my 125 and I'm pretty happy with them, I was looking at the vortec before allmost got it but hey for a little over $100 the koralias makes me happy. I know you can't compare them between the 2 but works for me

Some substrate movement is fine...in fact I'd like it to have enough flow to keep the detritus kicked up so the skimmer can nab it, as long as it doesn't bore a hole through the sandbed to the bottom.
