Hydor Koralia 4

I got mine at Doral Aquariums and Reptile for 50, last i checked they had some 3s and 4s in stock. I personally perfer the flow pattern you would get for a tunze or even a maximod.

The problem is to get flow accross the acros i want i have to point the powerhead in an odd way ( up and away) and i end up loosing two of the 4 vectors of flow since its just blowing to the surface of the tank and straight to the glass.

Update. I went to Reef Life today, Pat has 4s for $51.99. That price is very good. He has the other units too.

I have installed two units. I removed the two SEIOs. To my surprise, the flow was wide spread and the corals responded well.

Another surprise, the SEIOs were 55 watts each (110w). The Koralia are 12 watts each (24w). The temperature in the tank is usually 78 without lights and 80.5 with lights. This morning, the temperature was an alarming 74. No change in my night room temperature of around 72. I will have the fans come on when the light are on instead of 24/7.

I am saving approx 80W on energy and the flow is wide and gentle. I hope in a couple of weeks I see some positive changes in the tank.
