Hydor slim skim efficient enough?

I have a 29 gallon no sump. 30 lbs live sand 25 lbs live rock. Aqua clear 70 hob, 2 hydor 600 wake makers. 2 clowns, Royal gramma, firefish, lubocks wrasse, 15 lps/softies, snails and crabs.

The slim skim will be plenty for your tank, however you'll need an ATO to get it working well. Mine is on a 40g AIO that I built myself, so the skimmer compartment has a constant water level. Even with this it was tricky to get dialed in. The hardest part is getting the height of the intake grates at the correct level. Too low and it doesn't pull water from the surface, too high and the same result. Overall I would not recommend this product, it's loud and finicky. Once it's dialed in, though, it does work quite well, if you're willing to put up with a lot of tinkering and noise.
