Hydra Frame/Mount

Ran out ofideas and settled on this one. Pretty positive it's been done in many variables/threads, but thought I'd share in case some did not want to spend the money on the more expensive AI brand options. Needed to hang or mount 3x Hydra 26 fixtures over a 48inch tank, but opted to make the frame only 42 inches in length so I don't smack my head looking into the ends from the top. The Hydra mounting holes are about 6.75inches on center for reference. Capped both rails using the angle bar cut to fit, and smoothed the edges from the scroll saw cuts. Measured the spread I wanted over the tank and spaced accordingly. It's mocked up right now, may paint satin or aluminum tint to match the fixtures. Pretty satisfied. Any tips on hanging I'd be glad to hear, currently have swaging the ferrules and figuring out how to mount to the ceiling right the first time.

Total cost $32 and change (bought too many fasteners, but extra is nice for another project).

Part list:

Stainless 10 32 fasteners (6x 1.5 inch button head)
Stainless 10 32 fasteners (4x 0.5 inch button head)
1 inch aluminum angle bar (1x 4ft)
1 inch C Channel aluminum stock (2x 4ft)
Stainless washers x10

14ft 1/16 braided steel line $0.26 per ft.
10 pk 1/16 ferrules
Swage tool or vise grips/vice and bruised palms
