Reef safe or bad?
 
That's a beautiful macroalgae! Not sure of the type, but all algaes are reef safe, it just depends on whether or not you want it in your system :)

Hydroids usually look like a cluster of tiny feather dusters. If you ever get them, cover the colony in epoxy and it'll smother them.
 
This algae belongs to the group 'Corallinaceae' and the name is Marginosporum aberrans and I have a few of them in my marine plant system.
