Hydroids :(

Allmost

Hello,
so this morning I was examining my seahorse tank, and well I think there are some Hydroids in there :(

all my seahorses are adults, so no immediate panic, but need to get rid of them

I got some non-photo corals and started feeding them, which I think fueled up the hydroids instead :S .

I have stopped dosing phytoplanktons (I used to do that daily ) and stopped feeding my corals (reef riods and cyclopeze)

what should I do to make them go away ? the system has at most 1 PPM of nitrate and I have turned Full Zoe a week ago, so that should be going down to zero soon.

I do have many canister filters in hand, should I fill one up with filter floss and out in the seahorse tank ? would this help at all ? please help :(

would lowering nutrition / not feeding /doing mechanical filter (there are no mechanical filterations right now) to remove the particles in water be a solution ?

help pleaseeee.

What type of seahorses do you have? Dwarves or one of the larger species. If its not dwarves, you could safely leave them. If they are dwarf seahorses, or if you just want to get rid of them regardless, I would go with a few of these:

You can also use the medication fenbendazole but I would not in this case because of the corals you have. Some don't tolerate it well.
