Hydrometers are getting on my nerve!

I have a coralife and then a IO hydrometer and they have both been cleaned often but still give me differen't results. They are about .002 points off. Im getting a refractometer once I get the cash. Anyone one else have this problem also?

No ... I decided to spend the cash and get a refractometer right off. I once kept brackish tanks and got a little messed up with hydrometers. Refractometers are definately the way to go.

No, but I have a refractometer now. Are you keeping them as the instructions say? The needle need to stay moist.

Yea, I read both instructions. I also clean them every time after use. If I wasn't spending over $200 on ro units and reactors I would get a refractometer also.

inever had any luck using a hydrometer. a refractometer is the way to go .... or a glass hydrometer but a refractometer is much easier.
