Hydropora Problem

I got a gorgeous green full hydro 2 weeks ago. I noticed today that it seems like it is bleaching. A light brown ecoskeleton is coming thru. What could make this happen?

My chemistry is:

ph 8.1-8.3
nitrate <20
phosphate low
calcium 475
dkh 10.8

All seem to be in range. 210 gallon tank 3 400 watt 10k & 2 URI blue actinic. Med water flow on specimum.

I would try another position for different flow/lighting. You have 400 watts MH which seems to be quite abit. I have a new hydrophora(3months) which seems to have acclimated pretty well, but I have him under 250 watts of metal halides. He did look somewhat brown for several days but has improved since then. Now he is trying to recover from stings from my sebae anemone.:(

my hydnopora started bleaching after the Bicolor dwarf angel strarted eating on it! you could see the sceleton throu tne thin green tissue. i got rid of the dwarf and all the problems as well!:)

but sins its neew in the system i would try moving it! i would try mowing it near the botom not directly under the hqi and in moderate current! got mine under a 150w and grows fast!

good luck!

getting it out of the intense lighting is a must. the nitrates may be a problem too. try to do a couple of water changes to bring them down to about 5ppm or less.
