hey sps freaks
i am one of you!
ive been out for two years and am about to jump back in..
my last tank is on pg32 of the all sps tanks thread - i am nutso about light.
i am wondering if anybody here has any prolonged experience with this light, i am seriously considering it..
id be new to led and am trying to cover all the spectrum points with my next light fixture... this one seems to do a pretty good job and it has lots of control as well..
thanks in advance for any comments.

I think you should post this in the pacific sun forum
I have all anemone tanks nems are doing ok they need as much light as sps

Thanks Greg, I considered that but I'm hoping to find a less biased group of people..
And I really hope to find some true sps keepers..

That system is a popular one, I have no experience with it though so Im not much help. I am using two Nova A4's (cheap Chinese fixtures) and an 48" XHO blue Reefbrite over my 150 tall with great results. Thats 128 3 watt LEDs (384 watts total) actually the reefbrite is run more like 2 watts per LED so (348 watts). Mostly blue and white with some UV LEDs.

If I were to go out and buy new brand name LEDs Id invest in the new GHL Mitras personally. The Hyperion is the runner up for me HTH

a mate of mine has one and has had nothing but issues with it, i saw it on the weekend and though the unit is nice in a computer case style the light was dull compared to my mitras. the color output looked nice enough and no disco effect, software was really crap...and his biggest complaint

Kevin, i hear what you are saying about spending less and getting great results anyways..
i think i just like the idea and comfort that comes with a complete package with full controllability.
im looking at the mitras as well, but they are even more pricey..

rodneyri, thanks for the info- its making me think..
how long have you had the mitras and how would you feel about showing off a couple of your most awesome tank shots?
I would put 3 over my tank as well, it'll be 50 x 32 x 26 high..
