If I were you I would get a used 60-75 gallon tank (or bigger), move all your fish there and treat them with copper or hyposalinity. Most of the time the ich is gone after 4 weeks without a host fish but you should run your main tank fallow for 5-6 weeks, 8 is better.
Second, I would change your QT protocol where you know new fish going into your display is 100% ich free. There are various ways of doing it. 5 days for a tang in acclimation box is too long. I had a 1.5" inch Valentini Puffer in an acclimation box for 3 days once and even he got very uncomfortable. Can't imagine how an active fish like a tang would feel in a small box for 5 days. There are obviously many ways of preventing parasite introduction into our systems and you should pick the one that works best for you. It can be done. Best of luck with your tang.
