I currently have two of my fairy wrasses undergoing hypo for ich. right after i started it they showed signs that they were improving..( i am aware of their reproduction cycle)..now about a week later they have restarted getting white spots. i am just wondering why this is happening. they have been under 1.009 (tested with a refractometer) for about 4-5 days. the current temperature 25 degrees celsius. i thought that hyposalinity is one of the only ways to get rid of ich? any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. i am also treating with ich attack. however i had stopped once i started hypo but i have restarted it again.

Here is a quote from THIS article on Hyposalinity.

Hyposalinity should be maintained for at least 4 weeks but 6 weeks is preferable. If there is any reinfection of the "Ich" during the treatment, the treatment should be extended to at least 4 weeks after the disappearance of the last cyst.

You are treating all the fish that were in the infected aquarium aren't you?
