hypo on the main tank FOWLR

|I decided to go with the hypo treatment on the main tank (FOWLR), I did take most of my LR out and put it in my refug. I dropped the salt level to 1.009 over a 3 day period. My hippo still has signs of spots after about 3-4 days, Is ths normal?

Hypo does not kill the ich that is on the fish..once they fall off, as long as your tank remains at 1.009, they should not return..Are you using a refractometer?

Also...I am guessing your refuge is now separate from your main?

Thanks for the reply.. and yes to both. That is kinda what I thought, but wanted to make sure. Most of the dots are off now

Good, keep your tank at 1.009 for a month. Check your PH as it will drop. I did a 30% water chnge every other day and added buffer to my new water , that seemed to keep my PH steady
