They all looked happy. And he said is was running for 2 years. I think some upset because it looks good and aint full of GHA Like theirs are.
Side note from that. My dad has a 29 that has a Emperor 400 bio wheel and a heater. It has been running from the start in 1985. It is very heavy stocked.

I suspect it'd be filled with GHA if the tangs weren't there. There is plenty of algae to be seen on the glass.
It's hard to say one way or another how it is doing. But for what it is, the current setup is about as good as it gets. It's a high-nurtient system. Great for growing soft coral, algae and pods. Considering the tank has soft corals, tangs and a dragonet...perfect. If it were set up the way a lot of people on this forum would like, it'd probably be a disaster.

Why would it burn the fish? It's just a heater we hide it in the sump just for the looks he wants to show it in his no big deal. It's not going to harm the fish.

i didnt think the heater was an issue either.
having the TP argue weather a blue tang needs a 180 or will be fine in a 90 is one thing. having a fish that gets 16" to 24" long in a tank with a 30 x 12 foot print is a whole different argument. the dragonette wasn't in his stock list anymore. maybe he forgot it?
