I am so happy!!!

Triggerfish, Im sorry to hear that. I think if you remove those clowns it has a good chance of recovering. Keep us posted.

I got up early this morning to remove the clowns and was able to catch one of them but the other was to alert and got away.
The anem. has gotten worse over night and is starting to detach its foot from the rock. I will keep everyone updated on how it does as the day progresses.

I have used Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) multiple times in a populated tank to recover carpets. I can't tell you what it did to nitrification (I saw no ill effects on the fish) or if my success was just anectdotal (sp?) but it seemed to work.
I used roughly 500 mg per 50 gal SW. In "The Reef Aquarium" Sprung talks about using chloramphenicol to treat infected anemones. This antibiotic is nearly impossible to find in the US, but Cipro and the other fluoroquinolones have roughly the same antimicrobial spectrum. Plus, Cipro is now generic and free at Meijer stores with a prescription (I know that is the hard part). Maybe you could talk a vet in to selling you some?

Here is my anemone tub:

The red carpet is 6 months in captivity (its mouth always looks like that??). The other carpets are 2-3 months.

Well, I ended up pulling the Carpet this morning. I am almost positive that the clowns were the cause of all of the problems because I sectioned the anemone off in the tank so the clown could not get to it and it started to recover but I think it was to far gone by then and was starting to decay when I checked on it this morning.
On a more positive note, all three Latz are still doing great. I am currently treating the tank with Formalin, Copper, and Nitrofurazone and they all look healthy with no signs of any pathogens. They are eating everything that I put in the tank.

Its been a week and the Latz are still doing great. No visible sign of disease yet and they are eating everything I put in the tank including medicated foods. They started eating out of my hand today.

It is actually more of a mountain due yellow/green. It is from the Nitrofurazone meds that I added to the tank. Its funny because someone else freaked out on me and said that my ammonia level was way off the chart.

Too bad about your anemone.

Congratulations with the clowns tho.
