Good afternoon,
I noticed a patch on the side of my tail spot blenny after feeding and stiring the sand in one area. This was certainly not there last night, he has a small blemish on the tip of the fin near it, and then a patch on his side absent of color. No sign of fungus or bacteria, he seems a little wary of the rocks, but otherwise seems ok.
I do have rather large aiptasia that I am trying to kill. I do have a syringe, but I do not have calcium hydroxide. I have calcium carbonate, I am not certain if that is going to work as well. The copperband is eating the small to medium sized ones thankfully.
Anyway, has anyone had any of their fish stung or bitten by aiptasia? Should I just monitor? Do I need to add anything like a medication?
