I believe I will be parting with a few things...

I am probably going to buy some stuff as a package deal. Some of it I will not be needing, and some will allow me to part with some stuff I have now. I'm not sure about the prices yet, but figured I'd post the stuff up to get people thinking about it.

1) Two Complete 55g setups, both with trickle filters and pumps in them. The stands are in great condition and are solid wood construction. I think one has a particle board bottom in it, but it's in good shape.
2) Eheim 2213 canister filter. This can be used as a phosphate reactor by just putting GFO in them. It also did fine on a 55g tank, with two turtles in it.
3) 6ft T5 light fixture, with four bulbs in it. I think it is a Current USA, but will verify later.
4) Wavemaker - not sure of the specifics, but will find out and post. I don't think I will be using it. I'm just not all that sold on the idea of wavemakers anyway.
5) 24" Current USA sundial- has two separate circuits, 2 bulbs run on each circuit so you can time actenics and daylights separately. Programs in 15 min increments, I think. It also has two LED's. They are on a photocell, so they come on in the dark, but also have an off and on switch for them.
6) SeaClone HOB skimmer - would be ok for a frag tank. I'll take about anything for this. Frags or a little money? If nothing else, the powerhead for it works.
7) 30 gallon acrylic sump- has two compartments. It has one large bulkhead (maybe 2") in one end and two small ones (1.5"?) in the other end.
8) I will also have another 55g stand. It's black, and some sort of stuff like kitchen countertops are made of where it's got the particle board with a layer on the outside of the boards to make them look good and be waterproof. It's a glossy black and looks like it should still be in the LFS.
9) 125g tank, not drilled, with stand. Stand is solid wood and in good shape. It would be fine in your living room.
10) Two 400w metal halide bulbs, in one fixture. The fixture is one you hang from the ceiling. The two can actually be taken apart to be spread further apart or used separately.
11) Two blue (yellow tail) damsels, about 1.5" long. The stores won't give me much for them, so if you want them, they're yours...just remember me if you can help me out in the future.
12) May get rid of two ocellaris, if they don't work well with the two I already have.

I will probably wind up posting some more, so watch the thread.

Things I may trade for:
1) Brute Garbage can, possibly with wheels
2) 55g plastic drum
3) ATO setup
4) livestock
5) Large pump, like a swimming pool pump or something that would be suitable to pump from one level of a house up to another.
6) maybe other stuff...

I will be interested knowing in the "final" prices on the skimmer, the 24" lights, and the 30 gallon sump. Depending on the price I might take any or all of these, but will have to wait until next Friday.

If you're talking about the seaclone, it's not the greatest skimmer out there. It's a hang on style. If you NEED it, just come get it and it's yours. If you want it for a backup, now about a gift certificate for a cold beer? Like in the form of three green $1's? haha. Just kidding. This thing is better than nothing, but I'd really feel bad selling it to another club member. If you want it, just come get it.

On the 24" lights...Dave was wanting to borrow them for about a week, and I will probably sell after that. They are just over $200 new, so I'd proabably take $125 for it. Otherwise I'd probably save it for a frag tank down the road. If we find the bulbs are about useless, by checking with the PAR meter, I think that cost is probably a little high.

The sump, I'd take $50 for. oh, and on the end with the large bulkhead, there's two others up high, probably 1". I can verify it sometime. I'm not using any of them so they all have plugs in them.

I am breaking down one of the 55g tanks tonight and tomorrow. I will sell this setup for $300 if you want to negotiate, $250 if you don't :D

55g tank
both plastic tops with T8 lights
trickle filter/sump
Surge 3600 (that's what it says on it, but I can't find any info on it) It pumps plenty.
Overflow box and plumbing
Air pump, if you need one

BTW, the aluminum foil on the filter is just there to help reduce evaporation.

The stand and tank setup you see on the right will be sold soon also...so talk to me if you are interested, or keep watching this thread.

1) I have a large sump/trickle filter. Not sure how many gallons, but it's got a media tray that's about 12x13". It is wider than what will go in a 55 gallon stand. It has no plumbing, but does have the block filter. Measurements are roughly 26.5x16x12. If you have an application that's close, let me know and I can get exact measurements for you. There are a couple cracks in the acrylic, up near the top, but the previous owner put silicone on it and said it has no leaks. We can fill it with water prior to sale if you are interested. $125obo

2) 55 gallon stand, black finish. This stand is almost in perfect condition. The picture of the inside makes it look a little worse than it is. It's in almost perfect and flowless condition. $60obo

3)55gallon tank with overflow, pump, wet/dry, standard t8 lights, etc. Everything you need, including a mag9.5 return pump. It is solid wood, no particle board at all. In great shape. This was kept in my living room. $250obo

4)55gallon tank with overflow, pump (Surge3500), wet/dry, I think I have two lights for it. Stand is solid wood, black, and in good shape. $225obo

5) Full box of Crystal Sea salt mix. $10firm.

5) ZooMed powerhead with rotating outlet. Not sure if I have the mounts for it or not. Free to good home.

6) Eheim 2213 canister filter with media and hoses: $50obo

7) Acrylic sump with 2 compartments in it. 30 gallons, with several bulkheads already in it. Comes with the foam block. For asking price, I will include quite a bit of rubble in it also. It is wide enough that it just fits under a 125gallon stand. $60obo

8) Current USA light fixture. 6foot with 4 power compacts in it. Two of them don't seem to fire up well, but do show they are getting some power...just something's not right with them for them to fire up completely. I haven't really had time to look at it yet. $100, as is...but will accept return for a reasonable time, should you find they're not worth repair.

I will consider parting out any of the setups above, just PM an offer to me and we'll see.

I can use the powerhead for my new quarantine tank, if you have the mounts that would be a plus but not required for the application I have in mind.

If I'm way out of line on any of these prices, please shoot me a PM and let me know why and how bad my price is off...rather than post up here.

It would be good on a small tank, but it doesn't put out much flow. I'll see what I can do to find the mounts. If nothing else, you could just zip ties and a couple suction cups.

What are the dimensions on 7?

You never answered my question about the media in the eheim in the trade thread - Does it come with the Ehfimech, Substrat, and thick green mechanical floss?

Dimensions are:
14" front to back
24.75 long
14" tall

On the eheim, I guess I didn't see your question before. I don't now the technical or trademark names for what's in it. I actually have GFO in it right now, but kept the other media separated. I have the eheim gravel stuff, and the little ceramic pieces of tube. It also has the round sponge to separate them. I sometimes put some fine filter media in on top of that if I wanted to get out fine particles, but since the flow is up, I usually didn't bother with that. The fine stuff really seemed to clog up faster than I wanted to break it open.

My quarantine tank is only a 10 gallon. I mostly need it to put behind the live rock to prevent dead areas.

Steve W.

Here's a pic of the 2 compartment sump. I don't have any other pics, because it is still in my 125g stand. It's a real pain to get in and out so I haven't done it yet. One side is just big enough for a pump. I put a skimmer, some rubble, and some chaeto in the other and it worked good.

Some nice skimmate that the ASM was pulling out, huh? :wavehand:
