FYI those are kenya Trees.. if a fish or you even clips a little piece it will grow where ever it falls.. very hardy soft coral does not need light.. filter feeder..

thanks for the fyi... i like to refer to it as algae cause i take it out and it keeps coming back ha. i used to brush my hands on the parent colony and clumps of it would just fall off and grow wherever.

Hey ds4X4, I was curious where you had read that they do not need light and were entirely aposymbiotic. I've heard reports that they relied more heavily on heterotrophy, but I didn't believe they lacked zooxenanthellae or did not require them. Just curious.

Ungwhat, do you have any frags attached to a rock?? I always have trouble getting frags to stick.
