I did it again, buying on impulse

Ŷup, like the title says. Just picked up a very colorful full grown purple tile fish. Knowing that I have a rimless tank, pretty scary.

Here's my situation. My tank only has four fish at the moment. A pair of clowns, a yellow tang and a squirrel fish all in a 160 gallon. So lots of space and LR with ssb for the fish the hide in. I won't be adding too many more. Maybe a couple of Gungeon gobies and that's it.

Is it foolish to take a chance and not cover my tank? I have heard of guys with rimless tanks that keep wrasses.

Did you get the LADD one that was up today?

I think you need to get a screen to keep on, at least for night time and when you are not in the room. AFAIK these things are on par with firefish for 'pretty much gonna jump out at some point' level.

You NEED to put some sort of top on the tank or you will have an impulse buy dried purple tile fish. It is not a matter of if it will jump... Just when

Wrong move in my part.. I love my rimless more than this fish. Got him from an LFS. Their tank is actually open top. I will cover the tank at night..Or when I am not around.

So now, He's hiding and would come out from time to time for two seconds. He's picking on mysis but will not eat just yet. How long will it take for him to acclimatize?
