i just bought like 7 heads of frogspawn......b4 i put it in my tank i had my water tested and because of the red slime remover my nitrates and nitrates were a little high(but not bad) amonia not bad and salinaty at 128. so i add ro water and brought my salinaty down to 125 and did a large water change(over 50%) then added coral the next day. i also added a torch coral and some zoas at the same time. everything in my tank is doing awesome but the frogspawn has completely died and gone in the matter of 2 days ! what the heck am i doing wrong?

torch is more sensitive than frogspawn.

you might not be doing anything wrong. That being said, cyanobacteria is a good indicator of sub-optimal conditions. Make sure your skimmer is properly sized and operating correctly.

all my peramiters where back to normal before adding new corals. red slime has been gone for 2 weeks now,and my protien skimmer is back to working normal. my torch is doing awesome........just the frog spawn died

Do you have your own test kits, or did you take your water to the LFS to get tested?

Although they can be pricey, I think that having your own test kits and refractometer are important. They allow you to know exactly what your water parameters are at any moment in time.

If your ammonia is "not bad", does that mean it was at zero, or was it higher?
