A friend of mine gave me this little guys, what are they?

Button Corals, Scolymia.........................and if i'm not mistaken, the red one is one of the harder ones to find. The green one has not opened up yet. Give it time though.

On another note, are marine aquariums big in the Domincan Rep?

Is small and believe or not is really hard to find things for marine aquarium down here, all the equipment i have, i bought it fro USA and most of the corals are imported to, but i'm doing some effort with a few friends to grow the hobby.

I'm trying to establish a reef club, cause the majority of the people in this hobby are on their own, and don't even know there are others doing the same, but when you get together everything is a lot easier.

^^^ what about the corals around your island, are you allowed to take from around the reefs. I know you guys have great diving (from what i've heard)

No, it's illegal to take anything from the reef.

OK................here in Trinidad its nearly the same thing. Allot of divers still go and smuggle stuff in though without bieng caught. Some people go to some of the popular beaches and pick up allot of the zoas, featherdusters and fish.
