I got a mantis

So a guy in my local club had to get rid of some stuff or feel the wrath of the girlfriend, and quick. So I volunteered to take care of him. He's just a green Caribbean one, and kind of wussy, but still pretty cool. I am very excited about this. I'll get some picks the next time I feed him.

How often does everyone feed theres?

lol im sure you'll get to love him. feed once every two days. only feed chunks of frozen that are a third to half the mantis' own size. frozens can vary widely. white shrimp, squid, silversides, krill, etc... many can be found in an aisle of grocery. pick 2-3 frozens. soak the frozens in a supplement once in a while.

youll need to supplement with live food at least once a month. thin shelled hermits/snails work fine but the best show by far is a fight with a small crab. make sure the crab is small so the mantis won't get injured.

Right now he's in the 10 gallon that is acting as teh sump for my 3 gallon pico. I should be getting a 30ish gallon 3 section aquarium next week, and he will occupy one of the sections. Thanks for the info on feeding.
