I got my stream 6100s in

I recieved 2 stream 6100s this week and installed the first one today. Since no one had the multi contoller I bought 2 single controllers to run my dual 6100s.

I have to say the one moves some water. I mounted it on the back side of my over flow and it points toward the back of my tank. The second 6100 I have to drill on top of my acrylic panel to place it where I want.

I do have a couple of comments on them.

1. They came in a doodoo brown color. Whats up with that? I assumed they would be black. I know, never assume.

2. The brackets are very ghetto and you have to do some dyi-ing to get them to mount how you want. I would think for the money they cost they could have been better.(and yes I read all the post about the brackets before I bought).

Besides these two items overall Im pleased with them thus far. I will post pics once they are both up and running.

I got to say both streams in my tank move some water. I had to turn down some power just to keep sand down on the OTHER side of the tank...again I have a 315g with 600LBS of rock. I dont know how folks with 180 or less can hook 2 of these up....

Brown is our color, the same as green is Eheims color an Yellow is tetras color, our company colors are brown and blue. The holder is only ghetto when you put it together wrong, it is the most practical solution for the high flow. I will make a video showing how to put it together soon and when it is properly done it is the most elegant solution available.

I see you have acrylic, maybe my video won't help, acrylic is a purely american phenomenon and acrylic is less than 25% of the US market so it is not really possible to focus on a solution for this small market. We sell out product in over 50 countries and a holder that works on every possible style of aquarium the world over is not easy.

Run a search for photobarry- he had a very elegant solution for his acrylic aquarium in the Tunze forum.

As you read I was overall pleased with my streams. Every product has pro's & con's, in my opinion these are Tunzes. However to bring on a personal attack on me by calling me ghetto is unproffesional and inappropiate on your behalf. As previously mentioned I did read all post relating to brackets and Acrylic in RC via searches.

I am a firm believer that if you sell a product you should stand behind it 100% and feel its the best on the market, but a person must also be able to handle constructive criticism when it comes without insulting those who give it.

I do not manufacture or sell aquarium products so I cant tell you or Tunze how to make the brackets but I can read the simple instructions provided and your previous posts and make do of what I have, which I did in this case since both of the stream are mounted properly.

That's right, teog read the english more carefully before attacking, and Roger is a very nice guy, who always response to problem with expediate and professional manner, he doesn't deserve to be attacked by you just because you happened to spend $700, so be civil and apologize.

I will show you when i return how the system is designed to work. It is a perfect solution for tanks without trim and can be made to work on most anytank. I am sorry if you read it wrong but no personal attack was intended. I actually felt it was the otherway around. If I had no interest in service and my customers I would not be writing this now, please accept my apology and lets move on.

Please dont take this the wrong way, I dont need another parent, I can admit a wrong on my end. Money has nothing to due with customer service. Whether a persons spend $1 or $1000 people should be treated equally. My point was for the money this product cost I expected some thing else in regards to the brackets. I thought they would come in black as well. I just bought a 6060 and on Marine Depot site, they look black to me. Bummer! Oh well, I'm sure the coraline will grow on them.
