I got really lucky! Beware dialup users :)

I have had my female maroon clown for about 4 years now, she has never had a tankmate to call her own. I recently moved her out of a 29 gallon reef to a new 65. I thought this would probably be the best, well heck, probably only time I might get lucky enough to add a small male. After quite a bit of research I came to the conclusion that that a significant size differential was probably the biggest single factor to my success. I probably went to the extreme.

After introducing him to my tank by hand, releasing him into the females' RBTA she immediately came to check him out. He did his little submissive dance thing and she began to 'suck' on his pectoral fins. They played and danced, she did play a little rough for a bit and he sort of kept his distance. I introduced him rather late in the day as I wanted the light cycle to be near its end and there might be a peacful cooexistance during his first night. Woke up this morning and they seem like long lost friends. I got soooo lucky.

These are not my best effort but I wanted to post some images, we have an airshow here this w/e and I plan to be looking upward and was in a rush. I can post more images if anyone is interested.

Great Job and Beautiful Clowns!! ;)

Thank you... :)

I just wanted to let you know, while I had your attention. I was looking at some of your posts last night, you have made some absolutely amazing images ... just wanted to give you a little bow ...

Nice job astro! Great capture and great job with the introduction. My wife has a Gold Banded Maroon Clown and it's quite the bear in the tank. I doubt at this point I could introduce any other fish to the tank because it is so dominant.

She is too, especially after I introduced the RBTA. I figured after turning her little life upside down in a new environment, now was the only chance I was going to get.
