I got robbed! need help with ID

If someone were to steal that much from me, the financial impact would be horrible. Kei, why don't you take it all to the cops and let them make the copies of the pics or whatever they need.

Joe, if the guy comes in my store, can I force him to leave or do I have to see him taking stuff?

I wouldn't hang a sign or jump him in the store. This will scare him away and he won't come back. I would tell him he won a free item and that you will send it to him just that he needs to fill out a card or something with his name and address on it with a phone number and then give the info to the police. Have the cops come over on one of the days that he frequents your place of business. I think you said he comes to the store the same day every week. Is it the same day as you have deliveries on? More items in stock on this day every week? Keep us posted on what you do. I hope you catch him soon.

Thanks for all the support guys!

The cops are no help. Let's face it, hundreds of stores are shoplifted everyday and mine is just another case number among thousands in Denver. Even if caught in the act, he won't get more than a slap on the wrist.

So realistically, my goal is to publicize this scumbag's personal info as much as possible to the point that he gets arrested everytime he pulls this nonsense even if he runs. If he gets arrested enough times, then he can be put away for a long time and maybe give those kids a better environment.

But honestly, I would be content for him to never come back to my store again. I trust myself to be civil enough to simply call the police if he ever came back. But I must admit there is that nagging temptation for serving some vigilante justice which may end up backfiring on me as Hal and Murdock have warned. So, I rather keep him away and let the cops pick him up at his home or another store.

We will see what happens. I have been getting some good tips and many people recognize him but the personal info is still too vague. If I can confirm his name and address, he can be picked up by the cops and get the legal process started.

Thanks again for the support.

It is the 9 o'clock news. Not sure what time during that though. They ran a story last night about a parent kid team that hit a glof shop so I sent them this thread. Who knows, it is probably the same guy.

Watch Fox 31 for the story!

Watch Fox 31 for the story!

Thanks to Tim's tip (Squidworth) , it looks like this family is the same family responsible for a string of shoplfitings all over town that was on last nights news. They just hit the golf shop a few blocks aways from us and got a set of $500 golf clubs.

This story will be on tonight (12/21/04) at 9PM on Fox 31 . You guys can see the video of this $%@*.

And unfortunately, it does look like the entire family is in on the scam.

How on earth did they walk out with a pair of clubs?

I will definitely be watching tonight! And I take it they are not caught but people are becoming aware of these people? Won't be surprised if they going into hiding.

First off, so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope they catch him, and soon.

I saw the new report last night 12/20/04. It was on the 9 pm news, but didn't air until 9:45. It showed the guy talking to the clerk, although not a good shot of him, and the girl picking out a "Driver" and walking out the store. The report said that they tried to return the "Driver" to another store the next day for refund.

What a bunch of low-lifes. Good Luck catching them, the quicker they are off the streets the better.

For anybody that missed it (Nate) there should be a re-run at mid-night. Also WB2 did the story about the Golf Store showing the little girl stealing the Driver.

I just saw the spot on 9 news about the golf shop... I hope these people get what's comming to them SOON!
